Sanctuary: Borders & Belonging Exhibition at RoCo

Hosted by Rochester Contemporary Art Center, Sanctuary: Borders & Belonging gathers diverse artists and creatives to explore issues surrounding migration and immigration. The exhibition includes projects amplifying immigrant voices, documenting criminalization and detention, and examining border politics. It offers testimony and creative resistance to counter divisive narratives and highlight human dignity. Featuring more than 60 artworks by immigrant artists and a community video project with nearly 100 local immigration stories, the exhibition runs from October 2 to November 14, 2026, with an opening reception on October 2 from 6 to 9 p.m. Visitor admission is free.
