Hugo McCloud: to everything there is a season at Memorial Art Gallery

Hugo McCloud’s exhibition at Memorial Art Gallery showcases more than twenty-five paintings created between 2020 and 2026. Known for using materials like aluminum foil, tar paper, and single-use plastics, McCloud explores themes of labor, nature, and daily life across diverse locations including Los Angeles and Morocco. His Burdened Man series, depicting men engaged in repetitive physical work, is prominently featured. The exhibition highlights the artist’s evolving practice through selections from multiple ongoing series, including recently debuted works. Admission is with museum entry.
